BLOGGING RULES - MUST READ!

This blog is designed to be a happy and helpful environment, and to keep it that way, the following rules must be followed:

1. Keep all comments and questions class related, no negative comments, no party plans.

2. No profane language, and no negative comments about people, places or organizations.

3. You are more than welcome to post your opinion in a productive way, however, it must not offend. I encourage discussions, but not bullying or prejudicial remarks.

4. Do not include your personal contact information anywhere on the blog, and do NOT link it to your private webpage (facebook, twitter, etc.) Anything posted here is open on the World Wide Web!

5. Ask questions of me or your fellow classmates, but do not expect an instant answer. Be patient and someone will respond!

Welcome to AGR 105!

Welcome to a new school year! We will be using this website to post important classroom-related information, and FFA organizational announcements and programs. Also - interesting informational links will also be provided that I recommend to assist with your studies.

A full schedule of class-related events will be available here, along with any details you might have missed in class.

About Me

My photo
This is going to be a great year! I believe in hands-on methods to help my students learn, and I try to utilize the many farms and other facilities available in this area to help put information to use. Many activities will be offered this semester, and a few of which will have required attendence. And don't worry - I have a fully agricultural background and am passionate about helping my students learn what I love. My husband and I own 400 head of cattle and are active in Team Roping and Barrel Racing Competitions. I am also a past (and sometimes present) free-lance writer for the Ozarks Farm and Neighbor and the FFA New Horizons magazine. What I don't know, I'll find out, so feel free to ask questions!

Upcoming Greenhand Conference

All freshmen are required to attend the upcoming Area-9 Greenhand Conference. Official dress is to be worn, and any student in need of any elements of this official dress, please let me know so I can pull it out of storage and make sure it is clean. Please go over the FFA Organization Official Dress link at the bottom of the blog page to make sure you have all items discussed.  Feel free to ask questions either on this blog or during the class period.
